For families & carers

A clear path to better sleep — from home.

You want answers, not a
long wait

Your child has nighttime and daytime symptoms that might point to sleep apnoea. Your doctor has suggested testing — but you’re worried about waiting lists, travel, and tests in unfamiliar places. You want a clear path to an answer and a way forward.

The sleep clinic comes to you

We send a complete sleep test kit to your home, with simple video instructions. A specialist reviews everything and reports back to your doctor — and for screening and diagnostic kits, you’ll complete a short sleep, ENT, dental and general-health questionnaire and speak with a sleep doctor by video both before and after the test. Faster, local, and from your child’s own bed.

Seven simple steps, mostly from
home

The two video appointments with a sleep doctor (steps 2 and 7) are included for our V2
screening and V3 diagnostic kits.

  1. Your doctor refers you
Ask your GP, paediatrician, dentist or specialist for a Healiox referral. You don’t need to pick a test — that’s decided for you.
  2. Meet your sleep doctor by video
Beforehand, we send a short sleep, ENT, dental and general-health questionnaire to complete, so the appointment is focused on your child. Then a children’s sleep physician meets you in a short, bulk-billed telehealth appointment, checks your child’s symptoms and risk, and chooses the right kit to send — screening (V2) or diagnostic (V3).
  3. Your kit arrives
We post the kit anywhere in Australia, with easy step-by-step video instructions.
  4. Test at bedtime
Place the sensors as shown. For screening and diagnostic kits, record a short video of your child’s mouth and tonsils.
  5. Fill in the short questionnaire
Complete the quick questionnaire and sleep diary — the QR links are in the kit.
  6. Post it back
Ask your GP, paediatrician, dentist or specialist for a Healiox referral. You don’t need to pick a test — that’s decided for you.
  7. Talk through the results
Ask your GP, paediatrician, dentist or specialist for a Healiox referral. You don’t need to pick a test — that’s decided for you.
